We learned about geology vs. paleontology equipment and how fossils are made. We also had a chance to make our own Megladon tooth to take home. The museum also wishes to thank Sarah Porter, and parent volunteers Wendy Copps and Marcia Waldron, for their help during the event. Boots340 viewsMarion resident ‘Boots’ the cat, AKA ‘Mr. Boots’ is a familiar sight to neighbors of Little Neck Village in Marion when he takes his owner Suzanne Peterson out for a walk around his little world several times a day with his little cat collar and leash. The turnout exceeded past Kids Equipment Fun Day events in Marion, especially last year’s, which was repeatedly postponed and then canceled altogether. Tree Spree House Tour339 viewsThe Sippican Woman’s Club held their annual Tree Spree House Tour on Saturday, December 12, 2009. Visitors enjoyed Marion buildings festively decorated for the holiday season. There were 12 stops on the tour, including 5 private residences and several historical town buildings.
