The event attracted about 20 youngsters aged twelve and younger with each child receiving a new fishing rod and reel as part of their entry. Mr. Gagne started on August 31, after a screening committee narrowed down the town administrator search to Mr. Gagne and Mark Andrews of Lawrence, Ma. Mr. Gagne's experience as a town administrator in Dartmouth for over 20 years helped him get the job as the new Mattapoisett town administrator. Poker Run424 viewsMotorcyclists gathered Sunday morning, September 20, in the parking lot of ORR to ride in the third annual Poker Run for Alex Pateakos. Alex is a five-year-old Marion boy who suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Money raised by the poker run will benefit Alex, and Families of SMA, a group that helps families like the Pateakos’ live their lives as close to normal as possible.
