They take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and is open to everyone, ages 3 and up. The club is funded by the summer Mattapoisett Wharf Dances, which take place every Thursday night at 7:00 pm. A total of 1,973 voters said “no,” while 1,808 said “yes” — a small margin of just 165 votes. Town Clerk Barbara Sullivan reported there were an additional 254 blanks on ballot Question #4.
