Courageous 8158 viewsOn August 6, Jeep owners and supporters of the local Relay for Life team, the Courageous 8 founded by survivor Laurie Nunes, gathered for the annual Jeeps and Peeps Rally at Ned's Point. Manning the information table were long-time team members Nancy Souza and Wendy Medeiros. The rally brought together Jeep owners and relay supporters from Rhode Island, Texas and North Carolina. Christmas Day Plunge158 viewsAt 94, Bob Humphrey was the elder statesman participating in the Christmas Day plunge held at Mattapoisett Town Beach, which including 47 swimmers and raised $2,595 in donations for the benefit of Helping Hands & Hooves. A healthy crowd attended, asking questions to be better informed about leaving a legacy that follows one's personal philanthropic goals.
