Ned’s Point Lighthouse76 viewsTuesday afternoon offered a sneak preview of the reopening of Ned’s Point Lighthouse scheduled for Saturday, October 9, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Cathy Hardy and Mike Lally, a Texas couple, happened to be in the right place at the right time to become the first visitors to the 183-year-old lighthouse that had been closed for the past two years and three months. Solids will be processed to the northwest side of the concrete wall, right, and liquids in the larger area of the lagoon on the southeast side, according to DPW Director Nathaniel Munafo.
