Frozen Princesses343 viewsOn December 21, two princesses visited the Mattapoisett Public Library to read stories and sing songs from the Disney film Frozen. Princesses Elsa and Anna beguiled the children as well as their parents in an hour-long performance culminating in hugs and a photo session. Heritage Days 2011342 viewsChildren festooned their bicycles and enjoyed a ride around the village as a part of the 2011 Mattapoisett Heritage Days on August 6. Other Saturday activities included guided village tours, an evening concert and a treasure hunt. New Year Plunge342 viewsOn January 1, 2013, Mattapoisett Town Beach played host to a New Year’s polar plunge fundraiser. The event, which attracted over 400 people, raised money to benefit BAM Foundation, Inc., a New Bedford non-profit which donates money to South Coast families dealing with members who have cancer.
