Christmas Holiday Shop390 viewsSt. Anthony’s and St. Rita’s parishioners combined efforts to give the community a Christmas Holiday Shop and Celebration on Saturday, December 5, 2009. The basement of St. Anthony’s church was decked out in snowflakes, wreaths, bells, bows, and a Santa sleigh. Santa listened patiently as children told him what they wanted for Christmas. Memorial Day390 viewsThe Florence Eastman Post 220 in Mattapoisett hosted the town’s Memorial Day observance and parade on May 31, 2010. The ceremony began with a service at the Veteran’s monument in front of the library, and then a parade assembled and marched to the town wharf and to Cushing Cemetery. Harbor Days Craze390 viewsThe town gazebo was the scene of another sultry Harbor Days this past weekend. Rows of vendors peddled their fun wares while visitors of all ages enjoyed music, conversation and the best strawberry shortcake in the world.
