Tripp Mill431 viewsThere’s a new historical plaque situated at the site of the former Tripp Mill. Located on the west branch of the Mattapoisett River off Acushnet Road, Tripp Mill was owned and operated for decades by members of the Tinkham family. A stone spillway remains at the site. The over 20-acre Tinkham Pond fed by the Mattapoisett River along with other contiguous parcels are now part of conservation lands held in part by the Buzzards Bay Coalition and the U.S Fish and Wildlife Department.
