Santa’s Workshop216 viewsOn the snowy night of December 15, high school students and some rambunctious kids gathered for some fun at ‘Santa’s Workshop’ in the ORRHS Cafeteria. Senior Class President Gabriel Noble-Shriver and Vice President Rachel Demmer, along with Class of 2018 advisors Merrideth Wickman and Michael Nailor, hosted an evening of crafts, dancing, games, and a movie so parents could holiday shop. The Scoop on S.C.O.P.E. 216 viewsORRJHS 7th-grade students participated in the annual S.C.O.P.E. cardboard boat race at the beach at the Mattapoisett YMCA last Wednesday, June 20. The students engineer and build their boats – some sink, some sail – and this year team “Funky Monkey” came in first place. There were 15 boats in all this year, all created by teams of four. Human Geometry215 viewsAudiences enjoyed the first of two fall drama productions at Tabor Academy last week. Drama teacher Mark Howland wrote and directed “Human Geometry,” which focused on how mathematical concepts can be used to understand human relationships. Audiences can look forward to another fall production, “Bang Bang You’re Dead,” opening Thursday, November 12, at 7:30 pm at the Will Parker Black Box Theatre.
