Magic Memories483 viewsThe Showstoppers, the popular Mattapoisett-based singing troupe, just returned from a trip to Disney World in Orlando, FL, where they performed at the theme park as part of “Disney’s Magic Music Days” on August 5. The group performed at the Galaxy Palace Theater located in Tomorrowland inside Disney’s Magic Kingdom. In addition to the stage performance, they also participated in Disney’s Show Choir Magic — A Performing Arts Workshop in a backstage rehearsal hall in Epcot Center. (Photo by Kelly Zucco).

Young and old alike danced to the music of DJ Don Hunt from City Lights Disc Jockey Services and then were thrilled to dance alongside special guest 'stars' The Cat in the Hat and Shrek! Camp Massasoit offers programs for children of all ages starting with their Scamper Camp program aimed at preschool aged children, 4 to 5 years of age, up to their Counselor-In-Training program for teenagers, 15 to 16 years of age. Bikes, Bikes, Bikes!479 viewsThe Third Annual Pan Mass Challenge Kids Tri-Town Ride attracted several hundred young bicyclist to the ORR campus on Saturday morning, May 16, for a bike rally to help defeat cancer. Proceeds from the event will go to several charities in the state such as the Jimmy Fund and Dana- Farber Cancer Institute to assist in cancer research. Collection for Our Troops479 viewsA collection of goods for troops in Afghanistan by Mattapoisett resident Alicia Sullivan wrapped up this week. The Wanderer office was just one of many Tri-Town locations accepting self-stable foods, stationery, pens, toiletries, and more. In the first couple weeks of November, an winter jacket/hats/gloves drive for veterans will be taking place at the Mattapoisett Fire Station and CapeCod4Troops will be collecting goods as well.
