The 95-foot, 199-ton steel scallop boat is the first built in the area in the past 50 years, and was built at D. N. Kelly’s shipyard in Fairhaven. Proceeds from the event will go to several charities in the state such as the Jimmy Fund and Dana- Farber Cancer Institute to assist in cancer research.
