Tri-Town firefighters70 viewsThe holidays were challenging for Tri-Town firefighters. Marion and Rochester fire departments were among towns assisting Wareham after a mulch pile in a remote location off County Road caught fire on Christmas Eve. Firefighters worked in cold temperatures for eight hours, dispensing approximately 200,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire. Mattapoisett Fire Department reported on its Facebook page, responding with Chief 1, Engine 1, Engine 2 and Engine 4 to a reported “small fire” on Route 195 eastbound between the Mattapoisett and Marion exits.
