Flamingos Around Town291 viewsHave you been driving around the Tri-Town noticing a greater prevalence of lawn flamingos? Don't be alarmed! The plastic lawn ornaments are the Old Rochester Regional High School Cheerleaders' latest and most creative fundraiser. For $25, residents can have a friend's house decorated, or "flocked" with lawn flamingos. All money collected through the flocking will be used to send the squad to Walt Disney World in February. Strengthening Families Fair291 viewsThere was so much to do and discover on March 1 at the “Strengthening Families Fair”, funded by the Department of Early Education & Care, and coordinated by the Old Rochester Regional School District. Relay for Life291 viewsIt rained down hard the night of the 9th annual Relay for Life at Old Rochester Regional, soaking the ground, the tents, and the participants – but it didn’t stop anyone from coming out anyway to walk for a cure and honor those who have battled cancer. Mattapoisett Firefighter’s Association291 viewsThe Mattapoisett Firefighter’s Association hosted a chowder competition on September 13 on the Mattapoisett Knights of Columbus grounds. Between 300 and 400 guests came to sample the chowder of 16 different teams, split into two categories: public safety and professional. BBC Watershed Ride291 viewsThis Sunday, October 2, the 10th Annual Buzzards Bay Coalition Watershed Ride wound its way through Tri-Town, making a stop at Eastover Farm for lunch along the way.
