Ghost stories 449 viewsIs the Mattapoisett Library haunted? Some who have worked there think so, and now a few more are believers after another Halloween season paranormal investigation by the ghost hunting group S.P.I.R.I.T.S on October 5. Mattapoisett Woman’s Club448 viewsThe Mattapoisett Woman’s Club planted 1,500 King Alfred trumpet daffodil bulbs last fall. Today the glory of that effort is in full bloom across the community. Club member Roxanne Bungert spearheaded the effort after visiting Newport Rhode Island, where as many as one million bulbs have been planted over the years she attested. “We planted in several locations around town with the support and assistance of the Highway Department,” she said.
