The bulletin board was pilfered by a group of sailors during a night of drunken mischief back in the summer of 1941 and was only recently returned to the Mattapoisett Museum and Carriage House. A graduate of Fairhaven High School and the Anjos Massachusetts Real Estate Licensing School, Ms. Bendiksen attended UMass Lowell for two years and plans to return to school and earn a degree in Global Studies and Environmental Sciences with her scholarship award.
