Basketball Bonanza Fundraiser444 viewsOn March 20, Sippican Elementary School's sixth-graders narrowly defeated the teacher-parent team at their Basketball Bonanza Fundraiser for their annual Three-Day Appalachian Mountain Classroom (AMC) field trip. At the game, the students were elated when two area businesses each presented a check for over $600. Ironman443 viewsMattapoisett native Shane Wilhelmsen completed the Ironman competition in Mont Tremblant, Canada on Sunday, August 19. G.R.I.T.439 viewsStudents and staff at Old Rochester Regional High School involved in the running group Southcoast G.R.I.T. ran the Providence Marathon on May 6. According to Erin Bednarczyk, the weather was ideal for the 15 students who ran on Sunday – 10 running the marathon, four the half-marathon, and one the 5K.
