Old Rochester Regional Unified Basketball Team87 viewsThe Old Rochester Regional Unified Basketball Team dominated Tri-Town Fire and Police to the delight of a packed ORR gymnasium on November 21. ORR seniors Traeh Carrington, John Butler and Jake Newton were recognized. Police chiefs Jason King (Mattapoisett), Robert Small (Rochester) and Richard Nighelli (Marion) presented $200 each from their respective departments to ORR’s Unified sports program, and nearly $2,700 was raised in ticket, T-shirt and concession sales. Old Colony Regional Vocational-Technical High School Boys’ Basketball Team87 viewsThe Old Colony Regional Vocational-Technical High School boys basketball team developed a starting five that made the most of their senior year, going 18-2 through the regular-season schedule, capturing the State Small School Vocational title and advancing in the MIAA Division 5 state tournament before bowing to top-seeded, undefeated and eventual state champion Pioneer Valley. Rochester residents Landon Hunter (12) and Nick Fringuelli (23) were named 2025 Mayflower League All-Stars, along with team captain

Old Rochester Youth Baseball League86 viewsThe first Opening Day since 2019 brought out Old Rochester Youth Baseball League players and their families on Saturday morning in Rochester. A parade began at the Dexter Lane baseball complex and made its way to Gifford Park, where ORYB’s David Arancio recognized the many years of service from Derek Mello, Peter Vieira and David Nelson, who all threw ceremonial first pitches.
