March is Reading Month381 viewsThe students at Center School in Mattapoisett honored the month of the Young Reader and Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2. Children came dressed in stripes, wearing hats and toting copies of their favorite Dr. Seuss books. The cafeteria served green eggs and ham for lunch, and throughout the day, everyone enjoyed many of the wonderful books that Dr. Seuss wrote. The helicopters are part of the Ram Island Restoration Project, which is an effort to rebuild the eroded island so common and roseate terns can nest in their natural habitat.
