Mr. Gagne started on August 31, after a screening committee narrowed down the town administrator search to Mr. Gagne and Mark Andrews of Lawrence, Ma. Mr. Gagne's experience as a town administrator in Dartmouth for over 20 years helped him get the job as the new Mattapoisett town administrator.
