St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church 12 viewsSt. Gabriel's Episcopal Church of Marion friends and families gathered after the morning service to make advent wreaths. An advent wreath is a circle of greenery, marked by four candles that represent the four Sundays of the season of Advent. An additional candle is lit as each new Sunday is celebrated in Advent. The making of advent wreaths on the first Sunday of Advent has become a tradition for St. Gabriel's Church. Come and join us next year. Photos courtesy of Tanya Ambrosi

Marion Natural History Museum 16 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum community group and the Nasketucket Bird Club had a wonderful birding walk on November 16 led by Justin Barrett. We were able to identify over 18 different species of birds including belted kingfishers, golden-crowned kinglets, and red-breasted Nuthatches. We were also able to see two River Otters peering at us from the icy pond. Keep watching the Museum's website, marionmuseum.org, for future birding trips. Photo courtesy of Elizabeth Leidhold
