There were field trips to the Roger Williams Zoo, Cape Cod Inflatable Park, New England Aquarium, just to name a few! During our last week we also visited the new playground at Washburn Park and took a walking field trip to the Marion Fire/EMS Station. The weather was just perfect to spend the summer at the beach! Marion Recreation is looking forward to our 5th season in 2015. Plans already are underway

4th Annual Resident Summer Luau213 viewsOver 30 residents of Little Neck Village in Marion recently attended the Village’s 4th Annual Resident Summer Luau. Engaging in the Hawaiian-themed festivities, the senior residents wore traditional island leis, listened to live music by band, Big Kahuna, and enjoyed a pot luck dinner. Bridge Fundraiser205 viewsFrom left to right; Elizabeth Tabor Library special events committee co-chair, Lynn Crocker , Asha Wallace, president of the board of trustees and Kathy Reed co-chair are combining a favorite hobby with a great cause. On Friday, August 22, a benefit tournament of duplicate and social bridge will take place at the Marion Music Hall. The entry fee is $25. Doors open at 1:30 pm, light refreshments served and the games begin at 2:00. All proceeds will be donated to the Elizabeth Taber Library.
