Tinkham is recognized by the community's Historical Commission as a Farmer-Friend-Educator with a commemorative brick placed at the site of the former Tripp Mill at Tinkham Pond on Acushnet Road. The Tripp Mill was owned by the Tinkham family for generations and noted as a historical location with an informative plaque. Tinkham is 99-years old and plans to celebrate his next birthday.
