Survivor Lessons1039 viewsOn March 3, a holocaust survivor visited Meg McKeon’s History class at Old Rochester Regional High School to share her memories from the war. Ms. Elizabeth Dopazo, an eleven-year-old at the time of the war, she was invited to speak to Ms. McKeon’s class through an organization called Facing History and Ourselves. “These students really are the last generation who will be able to meet a survivor face to face,” Ms. McKeon said.

Mending Fences3904 viewsTwo students from the Loft School in Marion pose behind the new fence which was erected at the playground they use at Saint Rita’s Parish. The playground, located at the corner of Front Street and Vine, is now in the process of undergoing much-needed improvements and renovations. All of this year’s fund-raising efforts at the Loft School will go towards further improvements to the playgound.
