Marion Natural History Museum
Last Wednesday, the museum's adult community program braved the cold to learn a little about how to identify trees in winter with DCR Forester James Rassman. From Birches to Poplars to Oaks we learned about branching patterns, bark design, and other techniques to identify our local trees without their leaves. Jim then stuck around to talk our afterschool group about the importance of trees and what they do for us and the earth. Many thanks to Jim for sharing his expertise with us.
