Members of “Team Bertha,” a group of five local mothers and daughters, will walk almost 40 miles in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer with thousands of others to help find a cure. Team Bertha consists of Margaret (Mardee) Xifaras of Marion and her daughters, Juliet Xifaras of Fairhaven and Dena Xifaras of Roslindale, MA and Rochester resident Sharon Hartley and her daughter Amy Hartley-Matteson of Mattapoisett.
