Dolls
Dolls are said to have existed since the Paleolithic Era according to Jenny McIntyre, who on August 6 gave a presentation at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library. The dolls on display spanned from the 1800s to the 1960s, looking out at the audience as McIntyre explained the composition of dolls through the ages. The display showed how dolls reflect the breath of human activity from fancy dress to modest burlap coverings and all walks of life. Photos by Marilou Newell
