Many years ago, Arthur Blackburn suggested that the Mattapoisett Lions Club might raise more funds for its programs by adding to its annual strawberry shortcake party with a few craft booths. This past weekend there were over 100 tented booths for what is now known as the Harbor Days festival, a two-day event augmented by other community activities in the days leading up at Shipyard Park.
