John Gibbons Bench Mark

Mattapoisett town officials, along with friends and relatives of the late John Gibbons of Mattapoisett, were on hand this past Tuesday evening for the formal dedication of a bench outside the Mattapoisett Town Hall in Mr. Gibbons’ memory. The bench is located alongside a similar one which was previously dedicated to late former Selectman John “Jack” DeCosta. Like Mr. DeCosta, Mr. Gibbons was well-known in town and was very active in all things Mattapoisett. (Photo by Kenneth J. Souza).
