Mattapoisett’s Willow Ruel served as Boston Bruins fan captain before Saturday afternoon’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, followed by an interview with in-arena, game host Michaela Johnson that was shown on the giant videoboard during intermission. The 11-year-old fifth grader at Old Hammondtown Elementary School recently competed in the national Drive, Chip & Putt contest at Augusta National, where she won the chipping event.
