Helicopters complete rounds from the Mattapoisett marina to Ram Island on March 8, 2010. The helicopters are part of the Ram Island Restoration Project, which is an effort to rebuild the eroded island so common and roseate terns can nest in their natural habitat. The helicopters will deliver 650 cubic feet of soil to the island and workers will then plant vegetation to prevent further erosion. Photo by Anne O'Brien-Kakley.
