Bird Island Lighthouse was last updated in the 1990s under the initiatives spearheaded by then-Marion Harbormaster Charlie Bradley. Early this year, the town’s Community Preservation Committee recommended $28,000 in CPA funds to study the components of the lighthouse’s next renovation, a project that will go out to bid next winter and go before voters at the 2025 Annual Town Meeting.
