On June 7, the Marion Natural History Museum hosted a talk by Dr. Kaeli of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI) on the challenges and eventual triumph of finding a 300+ year old shipwreck. Kaeli described the science behind the underwater robot – REMUS (Remote Environmental Monitoring UnitS) – and how it helped WHOI scientists discover the "holy grail" of shipwrecks, the San Jose.
