On April 1, Old Hammontown School art teacher Greta Anderson, along with the student artists participating in the Arbor Day Poster Contest, gathered to receive awards. The participants this year included those students whose submissions were recognized for special merit. The students who won were First Place winner Beatrix Apperson and Second Place winner MJ Gendreau. Each winner received a gift certificate to a local eatery.
