Hook's Head
Hook's Head is in County Wexford, Ireland. As the oldest, intact, functional lighthouse in the world, it was constructed in 1172 by Knight William Marshall. There are 115 stairs to the top of the tower which is constructed of local limestone with walls measuring 4 meters thick. Pictured are John Szymczuk and Bridget O'Donnell Szymczuk, both of Mattapoisett, displaying the recent copy of The Wanderer that featured a cover photo with our very own Ned's Point Lighthouse.
