Seen practicing on Saturday morning at Wonder Bowl in New Bedford, Mattapoisett native Michael Hogan is a Special Olympics champion who registers scores that would be near the top of any league. Hogan has a trick shot in which he places the ball at his feet, spinning it in place and then fanning the ball forward by creating wind with rapid hand movement until it reaches the foul line, at which point he lets go and watches the ball inch forward.
