This year the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club will again offer the Foreign Policy Association’s Great Decisions program, which is America’s largest discussion group on world and domestic affairs. It will meet on Wednesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm for eight consecutive weeks beginning on January 18, 2023 and ending on March 8, 2023.
The discussion program is cosponsored by the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club and the Mattapoisett Free Public Library, 7 Barstow Street, where the sessions are held downstairs in the Community Room, which is accessible at the side entrance, using the first floor elevator. Jennifer Jones, Director of the Mattapoisett Free Public Library, also offers the Zoom platform and she, along with her staff members, are always available to assist participants in researching additional materials.
Each year during the program’s meetings, participants find that the topics are meaningful, current and offer ways to research, express opinions and seek out experts on each issue. Guests are often invited to share their specialty in the area of the topic, and during the discussions, participants often wish that there was even more time to investigate and discover further ideas and decision options.
For the 2023 session, the topics are: Energy Geopolitics, War Crimes China and the U.S. Economic Warfare, Politics in Latin America, Global Famine, Iran at a Crossroads and Climate Migration.

Also, on a separate sheet of paper, please enclose in print, your name, address, phone number, cell number and your email address. We have books for thirty people, and we accept registrations on a first come, first served basis.
