From Jazz to Rock: America’s Popular Music

On Friday, August 16, the Marion Concert Band continues its Friday evening concert series with a program of American popular music. The program features a horn quartet and a variety of popular music styles from the 1890s to the present, is as follows:

Pop and Rock Legends: The Association – arr. T. Ricketts

Stevie Wonder in Concert – arr. P. Murtha

The Best of Miami Sound Machine – arr. P. Murtha

Blues Brothers Revue – arr. J. Bocook

Thundercrest March – E. Osterling

            The concert will be held at the Robert Broomhead Bandstand, Island Wharf off Front Street in Marion. The program, under the direction of Tobias Monte, will begin at 7:00.
