The Mattapoisett Congregational Church would like to invite the community to several special events to kick off the Advent season with the first Sunday in Advent on December 1 at 10:00 am as we light the Candle of Hope.
The Holiday Fair will be held on December 7 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in Reynard Hall with baked goods, handmade craft items as well as handcrafted jewelry, and other Christmas décor.
The White Gifts Pageant which celebrates the birth of Jesus will be held during worship on Sunday, December 8 beginning at 10:00 am where we will light the Candle of Peace. During this service we will be taking donations of gift cards to Walmart, Target and local grocery stores such as Stop and Shop, Shaws and Market Basket only.
On December 15 we will light the candle of joy as Pastor Michael speaks about the meaning of Jesus coming. A beautiful service of Lessons and Carols will be held on December 22 at 10:00 am where we light the candle of Love with performers from the Seaglass Theater Company.
On Christmas Eve, there are 2 services planned. The Christmas Eve Family Service will be held at 5:00 pm where we will light all Advent wreath candles in addition to the Christ candle with soloist Alissa Cassola.
The beautiful Candlelight Service will be held at 10:00 pm with soloist Andy Crain.
