Taber Library Chooses New Head Librarian

The Elizabeth Taber Board of Library Trustees has
appointed Elisabeth “Libby” O’Neil as the new Head Librarian at the
 Elizabeth Taber Library in Marion.  She will take the place of Judith
Kleven who is retiring May 31 after 26 years.

Edith (Bieler) Lansky

Edith (Bieler) Lansky, 90, formerly of Mattapoisett, died peacefully on May 17. The third of eight children, Edith grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts and worked as a bookkeeper before her marriage to Sidney Lansky, a prominent New Bedford attorney.
