In addition they have saved 18 cubic yards of landfill space and 11098 KWH of electricity, which prevented 5.42 tons of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere. Curious Savage568 viewsReservations are now being accepted for the Marion Art Center’s upcoming production of The Curious Savage, a comedy by John Patrick, which opens on leap year, February 29 at 8:00 pm and runs March 1, 6, 7 and 8 at 8:00 pm and Sunday, March 2 at 2:00 pm. Tickets for The Curious Savage are $12.50 for Marion Art Center members and $15 general admission. Reservations may be made by calling the Art Center at 508-748-1266. Tables are available for parties of four or more and seating is limited.

Although initially slated to take place in the parking lot adjacent to the Marion General Store, the weekend’s rainy weather forced the event indoors. Mostly Maritime540 viewsStephen Cook’s acrylic painting of New Bedford’s Ernestina will be included in an exhibition titled “Mostly Maritime” which opens at the Marion Art Center on Sunday, March 2 with a reception to meet the artist from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. The exhibition will be installed in both galleries at the Marion Art Center, located on the corner of Main and Pleasant Streets in Marion through April 9. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 to 5:00 pm and Saturdays, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Admission is free.
