Little fingers sticky with glue flattened out cotton balls and fastened them to prefabricated Styrofoam snowperson shapes, and then glued on the trimmings under the guidance of caregivers. The museum borrowed the seal from the Buzzards Bay Coalition for the day, and we had fun exploring what makes a harbor seal such a successful resident of Marion waters, and learning about the hazards they may encounter, as well as why it is important to keep your distance when you see a seal on land.
