Rochester Country Fair 254 viewsThe Rochester Country Fair rolled into town on Thursday, August 18, filled the air with the sweet smells of Italian sausage and fried fair food, mixed with the smoke of diesel engines, and created that magical scent we all relish until the fair wrapped up on Sunday, August 21. Tractor pulls, animal shows, kids’ games, music, and wrestling (including the match between The Aardvark and Buck Chuck) delighted us while it lasted in the bucolic setting of Rochester, Massachusetts. Rochester Grammar School Reunion254 viewsNearly a hundred people turned out to celebrate at the 10th Rochester Grammar School Reunion. Participants told “life stories,” sharing decades of experiences from careers, to marriages, to children and grandchildren. Octopurrfest254 viewsThe Rochester cat shelter “It’s All About the Animals” held its 2nd Annual Octopurrfest on Sunday, October 2. Raising over $7,000, owner/operator Pam Robinson said this year’s event was “absolutely over the top!” The shelter is in the process of building an addition to create a cat room and a porch. “I cannot thank everyone enough for their wonderful donation and participation,” said Robinson. Make A Difference Expo 254 viewsOn December 29 Miss Massachusetts Jillian Zucco held a Make A Difference Expo at the Knights of Columbus hall. Various volunteer organizations and groups dependent on volunteer participation set up tables and invited the public to learn how they could help.
