Present were over 20 professional bull riders from New England, Latin America, and Brazil. There were also professional barrel riders and mounted shooters. There were some young cowboys and cowgirls who also gave it their best to stay on a bucking pony. The event, hosted by the Mattapoisett Lions Club, saw over 100 competitors begin from Town Beach, swim 0.25 miles, bike 10 miles north of town and back, and finally run a 5K past Ned’s Point and back around to the beach.
