On Monday, the town took part in “Pink Donuts for Alec Day” honoring the memory of Alec White by enjoying his favorite donut, pink frosted. Spot33 viewsRochester Memorial School students were treated on Tuesday afternoon to an educational exhibition of the dog-like robot "Spot," a $200,000 machine of which there are approximately 1,500 in the world, according to Kevin Garell, a Rochester resident who works for Waltham-based Boston Dynamics, the manufacturer of the robot. Mattapoisett Woman’s Club32 viewsAt the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club luncheon on March 17, members donated to support World Central Kitchen for Ukraine and filled a jar with cash and checks totaling $500. The next afternoon, March 18, several members of the Garden Group collaborated to create window-box displays at the Mattapoisett Post Office. The design was created by Sharon Doyon to show support for the people of Ukraine. The Garden Group was honored to have several people stop to comment and thank them for their efforts
