This show celebrates the immense talent of the Sippican School students and will include several works from each grade level, representing various subjects and mediums.

RMS C.A.R.E.S.206 viewsThe fourth-graders at Rochester Memorial School put on a presentation on Thursday, January 26, called RMS C.A.R.E.S. Each fourth grade class represented a word comprising the C.A.R.E.S. acronym: Cooperation, Assertiveness, Responsibility, Empathy, and Self-Control. More than a dozen scouts took part in at least five races, with the fastest finishers pitted against each other down the stretch. Rochester Memorial Day Boat Race206 viewsIt rained, again, for the Rochester Memorial Day Boat Race on Monday, May 29, but that never stops the participants from paddling the 14 miles of the Mattapoisett River that winds from Grandma Hartley’s Reservoir in Snipatuit Pond in Rochester all the way to the Herring Weir in Mattapoisett off River Road and Route 6. Memorial Day206 viewsThe rain cancelled the parade and forced the Memorial Day observance indoors on Monday, but many gathered to honor our fallen soldiers and their families inside Center School. Keynote speaker Commander Bryan D. Williams gave a heartfelt speech, while George Randall recited the Gettysburg Address to mark the 100th anniversary of when his father, Jeremiah, first read it on Memorial Day in 1917 at the age of 15.
