There was a make your own planet earth pinwheel table, a station to decorate your own “Earth cookie” with green and blue icing, a puppet show stage, and a boat load of Legos to play with while the sounds of croaking frogs and crickets played in the background. Beginning at Grandma Hartley’s Reservoir on Snipatuit Road, boaters paddled the almost 12-mile race route to Herring Weir at River Road in Mattapoisett. There were 65 teams in all.
