Posting Rochester History3810 viewsRochester Post Office Officer-In-Charge Michael Proulx recently presented a plaque to members of the Rochester Historical Society. The award was prompted by a display of several interesting articles set up by committee members at the Rochester Post Office. The collection includes 17 framed black and white pictures of various town landmarks. Those interested in viewing the collection may do so Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday 6:30 am to 1:00 pm.

The helicopter, which is from Otis Air Base, landed in the field for cautionary, reasons just after noon time on Friday. A Rochester resident for some 70 years who used to summer in Marion, Mr. Lionberger turned 105 on December 26 but celebrated the milestone early on Christmas Eve with several family members and friends.
