Marion Natural History Museum1 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's Coastal Exploration group had a great time exploring freshwater and saltwater ecosystems this summer. We took a close look at tadpoles and salamanders undergoing metamorphosis, spotted turtles fighting with each other, a water snake, silversides and shrimp and much more. Many thanks to Marion Recreation Department for turning on the water at Washburn and to Adam Miller and Zack Ciesielski of the Marion Harbormaster's office for their help collecting plankton samples.
