Marion Natural History Museum254 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's after school group enjoyed one of the last days of warm weather by using seining nets to investigate our local fish population. By far the most commonly caught animal was the Atlantic Silverside, and then in descending order mummichogs, shrimp, mud snails, and hermit crabs, with one or two small Menhaden. The kids cooled off in the water at the Marion Harbormaster's beach and enjoyed a lovely fall day. Many thanks to Maggie Payne for her help with the nets.

Marion Halloween Parade 2017254 viewsHalloween in the Marion village is one event that shouldn’t be missed! Hundreds upon hundreds of little ghosts, ghouls, and goblins took to the streets to show off their costumes and follow it up with some treats (no tricks) and refreshments at the Marion Music Hall, sponsored by those very kind witches at the Marion Art Center. Fill-A-Cruiser Toy Drive254 viewsSunday’s Fill-A-Cruiser toy drive at Sippican Elementary School was a success! Volunteers representing the Marion Police Department, Police Brotherhood, and Sippican School (VASE) welcomed a parade of vehicles of families dropping off a variety of Christmas gifts for cookies and cupcakes. Coastal Sweep253 viewsLed by Marion resident Peter McDonald, environmentally-minded locals and Tabor students descended upon Marions Silvershell Beach and Planting Island, Mattapoisett Town Beach and Warehams Onset Beach to pick up trash and debris on the morning of September 17, 2011. The residents cleaned the beaches in solidarity with 400,000 individuals in 120 countries, all who participated in a global beach cleanup orchestrated by the Ocean Conservancy. Marion Horse Show253 viewsOn Wednesday, July 4, 2012, Tri-Town residents were invited to the 65th annual Marion Horse Show, an exhibition that features riders of all classes and age levels from around the region.
