Seahorse Gives Back13 viewsEach year, Mattapoisett Recreation's Seahorse Explorer's program hosts a "Seahorse Gives Back" week at our camp. This year, Buzzards Bay Coalition was chosen to be the recipient of their fundraising efforts, presenting the coalition with a check for $390. This is an organization we are thrilled for our program to support, and we hope our campers remain stewards of the Buzzards Bay Coalition for years to come. Photo courtesy Greta Fox

Mattapoisett Woman's Club13 viewsInclement weather forced the Mattapoisett Woman's Club to move its Holidays Wreath and Greens Sale indoors, and the club was thrilled that the December 3 event, with the assistance of MWC members Cindy Turse and Sandy Hering, Fire Chief Andy Murray and Town Administrator Mike Lorenco, was able to go on as scheduled in the Old Firehouse on Route 6. Wreaths sold out within the first hour of the sale, with swags, table pieces, box designs and special ornaments, all exquisitely hand-decorated
